Our first project Vision+ utilises AI to assist in the detection of minor, early, rare lesions of ophthalmological diseases in optical coherence tomography (OCT) scans, which is one of the most widely used diagnostic techniques, with high levels of accuracy and efficiency.

Existing problems:
1. Lacking ophthalmologists and optometrists
2. Long waiting time of patients in Hong Kong (2.75years)
3. Easy neglection of early pathologies
4. Frequent controversial OCT images

Aim: Shorten the waiting periods, prioritise emergencies, predict risk, and provide trust-worthy scientific reference

Target: Eye hospitals, clinics, and medical institutes

Solution: Vision+ aims to assist ophthalmologists in Hong Kong by automatically detecting and diagnosing common eye diseases from OCT scans. By employing advanced deep learning techniques, Vision+ can analyse OCT images with efficiency and accuracy of 98%, providing crucial information and recommendations to doctors.

With the ability to 3D visualise blood vessels in the retina, compatibility with all major OCT machines in Hong Kong, and accessibility from any computer, Vision+ aims to seamlessly integrate into the current ophthalmology imaging workflow. This advanced technology enables us to significantly reduce the waiting time between imaging and diagnosis, alleviating the stress and anxiety experienced by patients. We understand that timely access to care is crucial, especially for underserved communities that may face additional barriers in obtaining medical attention. Hence, our product can not only serve to improve their overall healthcare experience but also help to address health disparities and promote equal access to quality eye care.
