SilverGuard AI (sgAI) is a youth-led Hong Kong social venture that turns every existing care-home camera into a “safety timer” for frail elders. Instead of buying new hardware, care homes layer our software onto their current CCTV to predict risky situations, prevent harm with guided workflows, and prove what happened through tamper-evident audit packs (Predict → Prevent → Prove).

Grounded in frontline nursing and public-health research, and advised by leading gerontology scholars, SilverGuard AI is built around privacy, dignity and the latest RCHE Code of Practice. Our edge-only AI never builds a facial ID database and keeps data minimised, helping operators stay compliant while protecting residents and staff.

As a HKSEC supported and HKSTP backed startup, we work with NGO and voucher-home operators through interviews and visits to co-design safer workflows, define Time-to-Assist targets and lighten paperwork while capturing the data regulators and families need.

Our business model ties commercial success directly to inclusion. For every ten paid beds on the platform, one “Impact Seat” will be donated to an under-resourced home, expanding access to safety technology for low-income elders who would otherwise be left behind. In short, SilverGuard AI uses Hong Kong-built AI to make institutional elder care safer, fairer and financially sustainable.
