HKSEC Academy: The Importance of Mentoring in Social Entrepreneurship
HKSEC Academy: The Importance of Mentoring in Social Entrepreneurship
The HKSEC Academy aims to support the growth and professional development of HKSEC alumni and other young social innovators. In this series of 12 webinars, the participants would be able to update their knowledge and deepen their understanding in wide ranging topics such as Fintech, Social Impact Measurement and Climate Change etc. This knowledge as well as skills could further equip them for their social innovation and entrepreneurship journey.
The 11th webinar “The Importance of Mentoring in Social Entrepreneurship” given by Prof. Howard LING, MH, Chief Consultant, HKCSS Social Enterprise Business Centre and Michelle CHAN, Co-founder, Mealingful, would take place from 17:30 to 18:15 via Zoom on 27 September 2022.
Mentoring is known as important for young social entrepreneurs throughout their social venture journeys. However, we seldom have the opportunities to explore the chemistry between mentors and mentees. Using the example of Mealingful (one of the HKSEC 2019-20 Champion Teams), Prof. Ling and Michelle will share their unforgettable experiences as a mentor and a start-up mentee, and the ways that mentoring has added value to the entrepreneurship journey. If you are interested in unravelling these, then don’t miss the chance to register for this session!
