HKSEC Academy: Social Entrepreneurship as a Means of Advancing Health Equity
The HKSEC Academy aims to support the growth and professional development of HKSEC alumni and other young social innovators. In this series of 12 webinars, the participants would be able to update their knowledge and deepen their understanding in wide ranging topics such as Fintech, Social Impact Measurement and Climate Change etc. This knowledge as well as skills could further equip them for their social innovation and entrepreneurship journey.
The 2nd webinar “Social Entrepreneurship as a Means of Advancing Health Equity” given by Prof. Eric LAI, Research Assistant Professor, CUHK Institute of Health Equity and Victor WONG, CEO, Bridge AI (the project also named Kinnectus: Connect Us) would take place from 17:30 to 18:15 via Zoom on 24 May 2022.

Prof. Eric LAI
Prof. Eric LAI is a Research Assistant Professor of CUHK Institute of Health Equity (IHE). He is a social epidemiologist with an interest in social inequalities in determinants of health and the differential outcomes of diseases by socioeconomic status. He is particularly interested in life course determinants of health outcomes and healthy ageing. He is also interested in longitudinal data analysis and applying causal methodologies in observational data. Prof. Lai’s PhD mainly focused on the drivers of secular trends of timing of puberty and its consequences for non-communicable diseases.
