Environmental Sustainability
Website: http://tamee.hk/
Tamee is an education and social networking platform that is established to connect corporates that are seeking to sponsor quality ESG activities with students who are in search of opportunities to materialise their ESG projects. By providing support to both parties using the framework of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (UN-SDGs), we aim to kickstart more structured ESG projects, influence personal values and foster interpersonal bonds, as well as, ultimately, promote the adoption and implementation of the UN-SDGs in Hong Kong.
While students in Hong Kong often devote themselves to projects that could help brush up their extracurricular activities profile, thus benefiting their applications to academic institutions, many of them are especially passionate about undertaking projects that involve potential social impact. Although such passion can be seen as their attempt to solve the world’s problems with creativity, they usually lack the necessary credentials that could help them attract sponsorships from companies, let alone making the projects happen.
Meanwhile, in recent years, companies are also observed to have become increasingly concerned about their social and environmental contributions. This is likely due to the fact that after ESG reporting was made mandatory in Hong Kong, a company’s efforts to make an impact in ESG have become an indicator of its success. However, recent ESG activities are often unstructured, lacking proper measurements or governance standards. This poses a challenge to impact assessment and resource allocation for companies, which in turn may obstruct the upscaling of impactful projects.
In light of this, Tamee aims to bridge the gap between Hong Kong’s young talents and companies by providing online and offline support.
We partnered with the UN Industrial Development Organisation Global Innovation Network Project (UNIDO GIN Project), a specialised agency in the UN, with whom we provide online and offline education for students aged 12-22 on the 17 UN-SDGs, project formations, and team formations. We assist teenagers in achieving their goals of co-creating social impact and enhancing their profiles with credible extra-curricular activities or certificates.
On the other end of the bridge, we also help listed companies in growing their social impact, thus polishing their ESG reports, by providing ESG reporting services which will specifically allow them to select their sponsorship recipients from various student-initiated projects that have verifiably incorporated UN-SDGs.
