NursingMaMa is a unique, one-stop babysitting solution for Medical Care Professional (MCP) mothers with babies between 6 to 24 months old, provided at their workplace. Our social enterprise was founded with the aim of alleviating the work-life struggles of working MCP mothers who need to juggle work and family commitments. The long working hours with frequent shift work have resulted in many MCP mothers choosing to give up their careers in order to fulfill their family commitments. NursingMaMa aims to help MCP mothers achieve both, and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

NursingMaMa’s close proximity to the MCP’s workplace will increase the bonding time between a mother and her baby by providing the flexibility to breastfeed and provide maternal care during their break times at work. We operate 7-days a week to cater to multiple work shift demands and allow mothers to monitor their baby through a real-time baby-health tracking app.

Our business model will focus on forming partnerships with key suppliers of baby products as well as leveraging on underutilized resources such as low occupancy hospital space and the skills of retired medical professionals to provide a unique maternal experience. NursingMaMa aims to raise public awareness on the lack of social support to working MCP mothers who serve the community but find difficulty serving their own families. In addition, by making efficient use of the underutilized resources in the city, we hope to improve MCP productivity and create a more efficient medical sector in Hong Kong.
