ARTS POWER
健康與福祉
ARTS POWER strives to enable more equal access to emotional support, and to empower underprivileged women through arts. We aim to improve the wellbeing of women
in need through Expressive Arts Therapy, with a self-sustainable hybrid business model.
The Expressive Arts Therapy programs provided by ARTS POWER empower people and help them handle emotional issues, anxiety and stress. We believe art is for all, and everyone is able to transform life experiences through the creative process of arts.
Sadly, one out of five women in Hong Kong lives in poverty and mental distress is
one of their most pressing issues. While the government mainly provides employment and financial aid, we see a huge gap in mental health and wellbeing support for underprivileged women. ARTS POWER plans to fill this gap through Expressive Arts Therapy.
ARTS POWER will hire professionally trained therapists, who integrate different art modalities, including visual arts, music, dance/movement, creative writing and drama, to improve the holistic wellbeing of the target customers.
ARTS POWER will operate a self-sustainable hybrid business model. We will launch commercial programs for the higher-income groups to generate revenue. This revenue
will then support our partnerships and charitable programs with NGOs to provide subsidized Expressive Arts Therapy programs for underprivileged women.
In future, ARTS POWER hopes to organize arts festivals for all participants, from
different parts of the society, to achieve social inclusion.
