Seekr
社會共融,健康與福祉
Created by a strong and diverse team of HKUST and HKU graduates in the AI and impact space, Seekr is a compact AI wearable designed to help visually impaired people (VIPs) navigate their lives more independently and safely. Our camera analyses users’ surroundings and translates the information into a digestible, curated audio narration to help users with daily tasks such as reading, moving around places, and locating items. Seekr’s work has received recognition from multiple technology and impact awards, including the Alibaba Jumpstarter Diversity and Inclusion Award, Hong Kong ICT Startup Silver Award, and Y-Lot Best Technology Transfer Award in 2023.
Apart from our technical capabilities, we also pride ourselves in our commitment to understanding our users’ concerns and needs. We are firm believers in design thinking and user-focused design, which is a belief that has prompted us to design Seekr together with VIPs, whose insights helped make Seekr an extraordinary assistive device for VIPs in terms of user experience, features, and form factor.
Seekr is supported by some of the biggest visual impairment NGOs in Hong Kong. We also partner with organisations such as Hong Kong Blind Union, Ebenezer School and Home for the Visually Impaired, Hong Kong Society for the Blind, Eye Fund, and most recently Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, who all showed great satisfaction with our product.
